• What is a pixel ixxi?
  A pixel ixxi consists of colored cards which together form an abstract way of displaying your image. With our pixelating module you can create your own pixel ixxi. For example, create an abstract artwork of your wedding kiss or of a portrait. At close range it will be a wonderful color palette, from a distance your own special artwork.

• How does the pixelating module work?
  The module transforms the image uploaded. By changing the size of your ixxi, you can choose how abstract the image will be. When you choose a larger number of cards, you will get more detail in your ixxi and it will therefore be more recognizable.

  In the module you can zoom in or out, and shift the image around the cards. This way you play with the recognition of your image.

• Recognition of your pixel ixxi
  The degree of recognition depends on the iconic value of the image uploaded. This will make the original image better or worse recognizable from a distance.
  
  

• What images are easily recognizable?
   
  faces:
  Zoom in on eyes and mouth.
  
  Icons:
  Recognizable images like Marilyn Monroe or pictures with recognizable colors and contours such as the Girl with a Pearl Earring.
  
  

• Contours:
  A landscape or a freestanding statue.
  
  Images with little detail:
  An image with a clear presentation, without much detail.
  
  Graphics:
  A powerful graphical image.

• Tip: 'Squeeze your eyes'
  The preview in the module doesn’t show the actual size of the cards, and therefore the image is always more recognizable on screen than in your home.

  Squeeze your eyes when you look at the ixxi in your home. This way, the original image is more recognizable.
  
  
  

• Beautiful color palette
  You can also choose to hang a beautiful abstract color palette to your wall, without the purpose of recognition. Upload an image with colors you like, and play with the view and zoom function of our module.

• A graphical pixel ixxi
  It is possible to make a graphic pixel ixxi, like a pixel letter or the space invader image.You can prepare this image yourself in Photoshop or in an online pixel program like Colorpx.
  
  
  

• 
  Make sure the original file has exactly the same size (number of pixels) like size (number of cards) of your ixxi. The module will transform the pixels of the original file on to the ixxi cards.
  

• File size
  The file size of your upload in the pixel ixxi can be very small. So you can use low-resolution images that you can get on the Internet (for free) as well!
